Useful information for campers and parents

At the end of the session, each camper will receive music recordings including the piece which was practiced by the camper, the songs of the camp counsellors, the choir and orchestra pieces, the recordings with the Fonofone, etc., on electronic files and a t-shirt of the Camp.

Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit, shorts, pants, warm clothes, sneakers, pyjamas, a raincoat, rubber boots, concert clothes, towels, wash cloths and toiletries.

Don’t forget to bring a pillow, sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag.

Violin, viola, cello, double bass: instrument, rosin, extra set of strings, nail clippers.

Guitar : instrument, extra set of strings, nail clippers, foot rest.

Percussion : drum sticks.

All instruments: sheet music learned during the year, pencils, metronome.

No need at the camp except for the purchase of stamps.

Don’t forget to bring a flashlight, sunscreen and insect repellent.

We advise you not to bring expensive electronic devices such as digital cameras, games or communication devices. A camper that wants to bring a cellphone will have to remove the SIM card. In the event of loss or theft, the Camp assumes no responsibility.

Parents may visit their children at the concert that takes place on Wednesday of the second week, and on Sunday during the day.
On Sunday, parents are invited to attend a gathering at 11:30 a.m., and to bring a picnic to enjoy on the grounds. A concert, which all campers are required to attend, will take place at 5 p.m. Admission to the concert is $10 for adults and $5 for children (free for campers).
On Wednesday of the second week, the concert starts at 8 p.m.: parents may visit with their children after supper, starting at 7:15 p.m.

The end-of-camp concert (last Saturday of each session) takes place at the church of St-Alphonse-Rodriguez from 11am to 12.30pm. All campers are on stage for the choir, the orchestra participants play the repertoire played during the session and some soloists perform. Further details regarding departure are specified on the document given to all parents upon arrival at the camp.

Important: For hygiene reasons and to manage the risk of allergies, campers are not permitted to bring sweets or snacks into the cottages. Meals brought to the camp for campers with serious allergies will be kept in the cafeteria.
